3. Financial Information

The figures below are drawn from our audited financial statements for the financial year ended 30 June 2025. The full breakdown of income and expenditure, and the independent auditor's report, are set out in our Annual Report and on the Charity Portal.

Total income: $278,344 (FY2024: $269,636)
Total expenditure: $316,277 (FY2024: $318,176)
Deficit for the year: $37,933 (FY2024: $48,540)
Accumulated fund at 30 June 2025: $1,245,033 (FY2024: $1,282,966)

The church is funded mainly by the tithes and offerings of its members, together with rental income from properties it owns. A deficit was recorded in both financial years.

The church holds reserves to provide financial stability and continuity of ministry in the event of unexpected shortfalls in funding. The Council reviews the level of reserves annually and considers it adequate for the church's size and scope of activities. The church held no restricted or endowment funds during the financial year.

4. Governance and Accountability

Conflict of interest. Council members and staff are required to declare any actual or potential conflicts of interest. Where a conflict arises, the individual concerned abstains from the relevant decision, and all declarations are recorded and reviewed annually.

Fund-raising. The church does not engage professional fund-raisers or commercial fund-raising agencies. Offerings are received voluntarily during worship services and at designated events, and the Council reviews and approves all fund-raising activities.

Related party transactions. The church is a member of Life Edu Services Ltd, a company limited by guarantee. During the financial year the church donated $1,000 per month, or $12,000 for the year, in support of Life Edu Services' activities, and Life Edu Services rented the Circuit Road property from the church at a nominal fee of $1 per month to run its programmes. These arrangements were approved by the Council and are disclosed in the financial statements.
